Managing Director, Alex Aranchikov's hospitality IT career spans nearly 15 years. Alex launched his own company in 1994, Altech Computers, which serviced the technology needs of various industries with high profile hospitality clients such as Merivale and Hilton, among others.
Alex then took the position of Technology Manager (Olympic Village) for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, where he directed the site's technology deployment, necessitating a full hotel-style rollout of features.
Alex joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 2001. For the eight years following he held several senior management positions, including IT Director and Regional Area Director for the Pacific region where he oversaw a portfolio of 17 properties, including the management of a number of property openings. He was then selected as Director of IT to open the company's largest hotel development in Macau, S.A.R. China.
During his time with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Alex's unrivalled success in the Asia-Pacific region lay in this ability to align IT with the greater business in a manner unseen before within the company.
